Ethereal Connections

UNKnowN Amsterdam presents: Etherial connections.

In Ethereal Connections, five distinct voices come together in a quiet, magnetic dialogue. Miguel Ulmann, Silvina de Selva, Maarten de Loor, Stefan Ormeling, and Aimes Jowil present works that, while diverse in form and intention, share a sensitivity to the intangible. Each artist engages with memory, atmosphere, gesture, and the unseen forces that shape perception.

The exhibition opens a space where abstraction meets intimacy and formal precision gives way to poetic nuance. These are works that do not insist but suggest. They ask us to linger, to sense rather than conclude. Through delicate surfaces, restrained palettes, and ephemeral marks, they reveal how emotion travels through form, how meaning hovers just outside the frame, how connection can be felt without being fully defined.

Ethereal Connections is a meditation on the invisible threads that link us to one another, to place, and to the fleeting moment when something just out of reach becomes briefly clear.
